Gluten-Free Salted Maple and Cosmic Crisp® Apple Spice Donuts with Bob’s Red Mill Oat Flour


  • 1 cup unsweetened greek yogurt
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Bob’s Red Mill Oat Flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1 Cosmic Crisp® Apple, grated and liquid wringed out
  • Flaky salt, to top
Maple Frosting
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, coconut sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Fold in the oat flour, baking powder, and apple pie spice. Fold in the grated apple.
  4. Spread into a dozen donut pan and bake for 12-15 minutes or until firm and a toothpick inserted into the donut comes out clean.
  5. Let cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Dip each donut partially into the maple frosting so it coats just the top of the donut. Place on a cooling rack, then sprinkle with a pinch of flaky salt.
  7. Repeat with the remaining donuts.
