Spicy Chicken Sliders with Cosmic Crisp® Apple Slaw



  • 1.5 lb chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp freshly minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Apple Slaw

  • 1 bag coleslaw mix
  • 1 Cosmic Crisp® Apple, fine julienne
  • ½ cup diced green onion
  • ½ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Pinch of salt and pepper


  • Mayo, for serving
  • Slider buns, for serving


  1. Toss the chicken with all of the seasonings until completely coated. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Make the coleslaw: in a large bowl, toss the cabbage mix, apple, and diced green onion. In a small separate bowl, whisk the mayo, acv, honey, and salt and pepper until combined. Pour the dressing over the slaw and apple mixture, and toss until combined. Set aside.
  3. Grill your chicken thighs for about 3-5 minutes per side or until completely cooked through to desired doneness. Cut into slider-sized pieces, or slice.
  4. Assemble the sliders: spread a layer of mayo on the bottom of the bun, followed by the chicken and a generous amount of the slaw. Place the top bun onto the slider and enjoy!
