Cosmic Crisp® Apple Crisp Macchiato


  • 2 shots freshly pulled espresso
  • 4 oz milk of choice, steamed and foamy
Apple Brown Sugar Syrup
  • 1 cup peeled and diced Cosmic Crisp® Apples
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ tsp apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Make the apple brown sugar syrup: Combine all ingredients for the apple syrup except the vanilla in a medium saucepan. Bring to a low boil over medium low heat. Simmer for about 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are very tender.. Stir in the vanilla extract then let cool slightly. Smash with a potato masher to release the liquid and flavor from the apples. Strain the syrup mixture, pressing again on the apples in the strainer.
  2. Add 1-2 tbsp of the syrup to a mug. Pour the espresso shots in the mug and stir to combine. Pour the foamy milk in the mug, then drizzle with another spoonful or so of the syrup.
